Producer summary: Bodegas San Isidro is one of the leading and most dynamic producers of the DO Jumilla. Together with the winemaker Inmaculada Pérez we have developed the Carta Roja range especially for the British market. The wine is made from organically grown grapes in the rugged valleys of the DO Jumilla in southern Spain, where the hot, dry climate is ideal for organic viticulture and particularly suitable for the indigenous Monastrell variety. Old vines of low-yielding shrubs with roots deep in the baked limestone soil, create an intense wine, with soft tannins and the notes of ripe dark berries typical of the Monastrell grape.

Short Tasting Note: Intense purple with aromas of black fruits. The palate shows vibrant notes of blackberry, damask plum and ripe cherry, balanced with soft and well-integrated tannins.
